Welcome to the website of the Teacher Licensure Program at Brevard College. In keeping with the tradition of Brevard College, the Teacher Education Program's mission is to lead future generations in a diverse and dynamic world.

Our program encourages a student-centered method of education which allows students to take a more active role in the learning process, which in turn, makes the learning more relevant. We at Brevard College are resolute in our commitment to providing learning opportunities in a caring, person-centered environment. A special feature of our Teacher Licensure Program involves an early introduction to the profession of teaching. Students are provided an opportunity to experience teaching as early as the Freshman year to ensure that this career path is a good match for their interests and talents. Our partnership with Transylvania County Schools provides the students with additional opportunities for working with practicing teachers to further expand their knowledge and experience base.
