May 29:

Today is a great day… because we’re still in Greece. Today before we left Naxos, we went to the Naxos Archeological Museum. It was in a medieval castle right next to the courtyard we had partied at the night before. The museum was fun. It had many great pieces of Minoan pottery on display.

We were then given a break to go find some lunch and then asked to meet the group again at the port for our ferry to Mykonos. Kristin, Heather, Zach, Lauren and I ran into JR and the six of us had lunch at a little gyro shop. We then hoped on our Flying Dolphin super ferry. We were all very excited to visit Mykonos as we knew it was famous for its night life. When we got there, we had no transportation to our hotel so we called the hotel and they sent a driver to pick us up. One car was sent and only four people could be taken at a time. I was in one of the first car loads to head up to the hotel and it was a very interesting ride. The driver was crazy. He kept looking back to us in the back seat asking us questions as his car swerved wildly over the road. Somehow, though I’m not sure how, the entire group made it safely to the hotel. We were very happy to find that the hotel was very nice. After a little while, Heather, Kristin, Lauren, Zach and I went out to a nice little beach side restaurant. Due to the fact that Mykonos is a popular vacation spot, everything was considerably more expensive but we didn’t mind so much. After our group fed a stray cat, the cat went and called an army of his buddies and they connived much of our supper.

We went back to our hotel room and found out that the professors are giving us tomorrow off. We are so excited. We hung out around the hotel for a while then around 10pm Heather, Zach, Lauren and I went clubbing. I spent way too much money but had a blast. We ran into Aaron, Ben and Justin at a couple different places and hung out with them for a while. We didn’t head back to our hotel until about 4:30am and to our surprise, very few shops and restaurants were closed at this time.

May 30:

We sleep in for the first time on the entire trip. We wake up very thankful for the free day as we are hurting pretty good from the night before. Around noon, Zach, Kristin, Heather and I walked to town where we did a little shopping and had lunch. Zach and Kristin then headed back to the hotel and, after hearing that there was a movie theater in Mykonos, Heather and I wandered the street in hopes of finding it so we could watch the new Star Wars movie. We eventually found it but as it turned out, it was an outside theater that showed movies only on the 4th of every month. On our way back to the hotel, we stopped by this cool little art shop that sold all kinds of things. Heather cajoled me into buying a cool giraffe sculpture that cost 40 euros. I’ll likely regret the purchase. Heather also spent a small fortune buying a similar giraffe and a tiger sculpture. We picked up some lunch for Lauren and headed back to the hotel. We ate dinner at an awesome tai restaurant on a hill overlooking much of Mykonos. It was by far the priciest meal we had the whole trip but the food, saki and view made it worth our while. I had some curry that was more than a little spicy but it was great. We were all a bit sad though as tomorrow is our last day together and for most of us, our last day in Greece.

And they were like, "I dare you to drink some of that curry." and I was like, "Your on" and ... yeah it was spicy
