| That's right! All of you lovers of folk music should come down to the
Essence of Thyme on Wednesday nights from 7:00-10:00 to hear Jesse Norton
and his friends do a round-robin of tunes that vary from original compositions
to folk, rock, bluegrass, Irish ballads, and an occasional show tune.
So why is this on my web site??? because I am occasionally one of the friends! I started playing with these guys about a year ago. I hadn't picked up my guitar in over 20 years but we've gotten to know each other all over again in the past year. Playing with these folks is a real release for me and I think for all of us. It feels great to step out of our regular roles and get together to sing and have a good time. We may not be great but we sure have fun! Since I got married in May 2002, I've been living a little too far away to make these sessions too often but I do still show up once in awhile. |
