I awoke at 6:00, took a shower, and had breakfast. I then finished packing and did a couple of last minute odds and ends around the house. Joan called at 8:00 to say good-bye and to say she was bringing home another cat. I left the house at 8:30 and was in Brevard by 9:30. A bus I was passing on US 276 drifted into the passing lane, forcing me to go around a curve in the oncoming traffic lane, fortunately, it was clear.

I went to Radio Shack to buy a voltage adapter and ran into Paige and Dan doing the same. Matt Owen brought a van around at noon so I took it over to pick up Bob, Anne, and Drew at their house. They were ready to go. By the time we got back to the college, the students were assembled. Aaron Motley and Robin Benitz had the other two vans. Tyler Lyon rode with Robin's van and there was plenty of room for everyone. I rode shotgun in Motley's van. We left at 12:45. The trip was uneventful but traffic was heavy through Atlanta .

The vans dropped us off at the American Airlines ticketing in the north terminal. We were checked in and at our gate quickly. Before too long we boarded and took off just about on schedule. The two-hour flight whizzed by. I read some and slept some, awakening just before landing in Miami .

After finding our gate a bunch of students and I went for a beer at a Sam Adams pub where we stayed until 15 minutes before boarding. I took a few fotos of the students waiting for the plane before we boarded. We took off almost right on time. I fell asleep pretty quickly. I was still dozing off when dinner was served. It was okay but nothing great. I fell asleep soon after and slept fairly well through the rest of the flight.
