After the first eruption, I walked up to the Mirador Canalillo which is about 2 km from the vent.
The ridge coming toward the camara is an active lava flow. Because the dacitic lava is so
viscous, it only moves a couple of m/day. The outer surface is cool but the interior is still
incandescent.
