The volcano was very active while we were there but we didn't see anything other than these
vulcanian eruptions. Amanda and her students were elated about that. They came to Santiaguito
because it is an ideal place to observe numerous small vulcanian eruptions with the idea of
making measurements so that they can develop a model for this type of event.
