While the clouds still covered the volcanoes, it was sunny farther down the slopes. We took the group to
Palmar Viejo to show them the destructive lahar. Note the person on the suspension bridge across the
canyon. The lahar occurred in 1991. This canyon has been cut since then (15 years!).
