March 8-18, 2002 JR's Journal LAX to Brevard

| Troy, Staci, and I had a cup of coffee at LAX as we waited for our
flight. Since Annie had driven her own car to Atlanta and would not
return to Brevard with the vans, I let her volunteer to be bumped for the
overbooked flight. She was successful and received a $200 voucher.
We took off right on time. I graded some exams and then fell asleep
for a couple of hours. After we landed, Beth and I got the vans while
the students took care of the baggage.
Jon French decided to spend the night with his parents so our group of 15 loaded up the vans and headed back to Brevard. We drove to the NE side of Atlanta and gassed up, as well as stocking up on junk food. Beth took off like a demon, losing us soon after we got on SC11. Everyone was happy to get back to Brevard. We were greeted with open arms in the parking lot. After returning the van, I gathered a few things from my room and drove down to Greer for a much-anticipated reunion with Joan. I think everyone had a great time on the trip. I know I did. There are some things I will do differently next time but I am quite satisfied with the way things turned out. |
