This is the first international trip to be offered by the Appalachian Center for Environmental Education (ACEE). The mission of ACEE is to provide field and classroom experience in all aspects of environmental education. By offering this trip to teaching faculty, it is hoped that the experience gained from this journey will inspire some of the participants to return to Iceland as trip leaders with their students. Although this trip is designed for teaching faculty, spouses, friends, and other interested people are welcome to participate. Trip Leader: Dr. Jim Reynolds, Division of Science & Mathematics Dr. Þráinn Friðriksson, Iceland Geological Survey
