Comments: One of the most popular places in the forest, especially
for the young who want to get wet and have fun. Wear
shorts, not a swimsuit, as sliding on the rock will tear it.
This is not a hike, but is a 6o foot long falls (with a lifeguard present
most of the summer and on weekends till Labor Day). A fun place
to watch others slide down the rock, or a place to slide
yourself into a 6 foot pool of cold water (50-60 degrees). About
11,000 gallons of water per minute go over the sliding rock
to the pool below. The area has a bathhouse and a deck to view
sliders.
